  • I don't really think there was one episode that made an impact in my life in particular. But I think the show in general had an influence on me growing up (I started watching at age 11, first season). Lots of the careers I've considered have been influenced by the X-files (and by Silence of the Lambs). I've gone from wanting to be an FBI agent to wanting to be a doctor or pathologist and finally come to my current field of psychology. I think these are all interests that were spurred on by the X-files.
    • yes, exactly what i went through too! really. i was 14 while growing up with the x-files and i was so inspired by Scully being so young and so smart! dangerous combination! i too wanted to get into the FBI, be a forensic scientist, any medical doctor and possibly some day be a psychologist. it's great that you got into the field! that's actually the field that i've always wanted to be in, perhaps after my optician field i can look into psychology.

yeah, thanks to x-files!! thank you Cris Carter! (you sufer dude, you)
