anyone notice how many bad tv shows are on network television right now? the thing is they are all trying to be the next x-files. its really sad. there are probably at least 6 different x-files style shows right now. Threshhold, Surface, Supernatural...some others.
are any of them worth watching?

Threshhold
Mon, September 19, 2005 - 8:51 PMI begrudgingly watched the premiere of Threshhold and begrudgingly kinda liked it. It did manage to have a bit of the mysterious, dark, paranoid quality of X-files without actaully copying it.
I was most excited by the cast which includes Carla Guigino who was great as Karen Cisco (I wish they'd brought Robert Forester with her!), Brent Spiner sans that Data makeup!, Peter Dinkladge, best known from The Station Agent and they give him a great character to play, one that could be pretty one dimensional but if the writing is good I can't wait to see how he develops it!, Charles S Dutton is always nice to see!
It was also cool to see William Mapother who was so creepy on LOST last season in the first episode. I'm hoping he;ll become one of those reoccurring characters like Krychek.
Well, either it'll get crappy or it'll get really good and then they'll cancel it for sure! -

Re: Threshhold, nightstalker, surface
Tue, September 20, 2005 - 8:31 PMI think Nightstalker starts later this week.
i taped and watched parts of Surface last night-fast forwarded through most of it. Unlike Threshold it lived up to my suspicions-surefire stinkbomb. Please let it get cancelled quickly.
